Two Routes
Every Custom Suitcase Starts One of Two Ways
A custom suitcase built on a tooled platform keeps a shell we already run and changes everything visible on it. Colour, finish, logo, lining, hardware and packaging are all customizable without new tooling, which is why this route starts at 50 pieces for logo work and 300 pieces for a full program.
Custom made luggage on dedicated tooling is the longer route. Your drawing becomes CAD in about 7 days, the tooling takes about 30 days, and the minimum is 1,000 pieces.
Customised luggage for retail collections, corporate programs and hotel supply runs through these same two routes. The only difference is where the shell comes from.

Tooling, timing and quantity questions we are asked before a custom program starts.
Do you make custom suitcases or only luggage?
The same thing: metal suitcases and carry on cases. A custom suitcase on a tooled platform can change colour, finish, logo, lining, hardware and packaging without new tooling.
What is the difference between a customized platform and custom made luggage?
A customized platform uses a shell we already tool and changes what is on it, from 50 pieces for logo work. Custom made luggage is a new shell cut on dedicated tooling, from 1,000 pieces, with about 7 days for CAD and about 30 days for the tooling.
How long does a custom program take?
Starting from a platform already listed on this page, about 5 to 9 weeks from approved specification to finished production. A new shell that needs its own tooling adds about 5 weeks: roughly 7 days for CAD drawings and 30 days for the tooling.
Do we have to open new tooling?
Only if the shell size or profile is one we do not already run. Logo, colour, finish, hardware, lining and packaging can all be changed on existing tooling.
What is the smallest custom order you accept?
Logo customization on an existing model starts at 50 pieces. A full program on an existing platform starts at 300 pieces. A new shell on dedicated tooling starts at 1,000 pieces.
Can you work from a sketch instead of a drawing?
Yes. A sketch, a reference sample or a specification sheet is enough to start. Our CAD team turns it into production drawings in about 7 days.
Which materials can we choose?
Aluminum, aluminum magnesium and titanium. All three are tooled and in production, and the forming process is selected for each project.
Do you charge for samples?
Yes. The sample cost is charged and then credited against the bulk order that follows.
Can we change the interior?
Yes. Lining fabric, colour, trays, dividers and compression straps are all built to your specification.
Which surface finishes are available?
Brushed, bead blasted, anodized, electrophoretic coated, spray coated, PVD and etched. Logo work is done by laser engraving, UV printing or silk screen printing.
Can you make retail packaging?
Yes. Packaging can be neutral, printed to your brand, or supplied by you.
Which trade terms do you support?
EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP.
