Lightweight Aluminum-Magnesium Luggage for OEM Programs
Develop lightweight luggage collections around approved shell dimensions, frame construction, finish, hardware and interior specifications. YCT-056 provides a reference platform for sampling and production.
Lightweight Aluminum-Magnesium Luggage for OEM Programs
Aluminum Magnesium Platforms
Five tooled aluminum magnesium shells. All five take the same branding, lining and packaging options, and all start at 300 pcs per model.

Aluminum Magnesium Cabin Case
One-piece 5000-series alloy shell with fewer joints and fasteners. Structural ribs are formed in the tooling.
Specifications

T-Handle Business Trolley
CAD defines the shell and assembly structure before CNC machining of dedicated production tooling.
Specifications

Reinforced T-Handle Luggage
Shield-shaped zinc alloy corner guards are fitted to a one-piece moulded body, with a scalable T-shaped handle. Locks, wheels and hardware are sourced to your specification.
Specifications

Minimalist Aluminum Carry On
From CAD and sample approval to tooling, colors, hardware, lining and packaging, production follows the approved specification.
Specifications

Ribbed Aluminum Carry On
Corners are reinforced with thicker metal and four rivets at every load point. The shell is closed with a double TSA lock and finished with a scratch- and fingerprint-resistant anodized coat.

One Alloy, Two Ways to Build the Shell
All five platforms use 5000 series aluminum magnesium alloy. What changes between them is how the shell is formed.
YCT-056 is drawn as a single piece, so the face carries no seam and no joining line. The other platforms are pressed and assembled, which is what allows the T-handle, ribbed and reinforced-corner structures that a drawn shell cannot hold.
The forming method is selected per project rather than fixed by model. Whichever route a program takes, the alloy, the finish options and the hardware package stay the same.

YCT-056 Aluminum-Magnesium Platform
A lightweight cabin-luggage reference platform for OEM programs requiring controlled shell geometry, frame assembly, hardware positioning and interior specification.
Panel profile and rib geometry are developed against approved tooling and dimensional requirements.
Frame fit, closing alignment and corner interfaces are checked before lock and hinge installation.
Handle mounts, wheel bases and corner load points are reinforced against the approved structural drawing.
Divider layout, lining materials and restraint components are confirmed during sample approval.
Hardware and Interior Configuration
Define the handle, lock, wheel and interior specifications for your aluminum-magnesium luggage program.
Carry Handle Configuration
Handle position, grip construction and mounting interfaces are confirmed against the approved product specification.
Lock System
Lock position, frame interface and closing alignment are checked before the approved lock set is installed.
Wheel Assembly
Wheel-base position, bracket fit and fastener assembly are controlled against the approved structural drawing.
Interior Configuration
Divider layout, lining materials, storage sections and restraint components are confirmed during sample approval.
What You Can Change
All five platforms are tooled. Finish, colour, hardware and interior are set per program and do not require new tooling.
Sizes
18 and 20 inch across the range. Other sizes require new tooling.
Colours
Stock colours are listed on each model. Other colours are set per program on the existing tooling.
Surface Finish

Aluminum Magnesium Luggage FAQ
Material, weight, tooling and ordering questions we are asked before a program starts.
What is aluminum magnesium alloy?
A 5000 series aluminum alloy with magnesium as the main alloying element. It forms well, resists corrosion and holds a consistent finish, which is why it is used for drawn shells as well as pressed panels.
Which of your models has no face seam?
YCT-056. Its shell is drawn as a single piece, so the face carries no seam and no joining line. The other four platforms are pressed and assembled, which is what allows the T-handle, ribbed and reinforced-corner structures.
How much do these cases weigh?
The 20 inch platforms run from 4.0 to 4.35 kg. YCT-056 is 4.0 kg at 18 inch. Weights are held within a narrow range across the line, which keeps freight planning predictable for repeat orders.
What is the difference between your aluminum and aluminum magnesium lines?
Both use 5000 series alloy. The forming process is selected per project rather than fixed by line, so a shell may be pressed and assembled onto a riveted frame, or drawn as a single piece. The specification table on each model states the process used for that model.
What is the minimum order quantity?
300 pieces per style on an existing platform. Logo customization on an existing model starts at 50 pieces.
How long does sampling take?
7 to 15 days on existing tooling.
How long is production?
30 to 45 days after the specification is approved.
Do you charge for samples?
Yes. The sample cost is charged and then credited against the bulk order that follows.
Do we have to pay for tooling?
Not when you start from one of the five platforms on this page. New tooling is only needed for a shell size or profile we do not already run, and starts at 1,000 pieces.
Which surface finishes are available?
Brushed, bead blasted, anodized, electrophoretic coated, spray coated, PVD and etched. Logo work is done by laser engraving, UV printing or silk screen printing.
Can we change the interior?
Yes. Lining fabric, colour, divider layout and restraint components are all built to your specification.
Which trade terms do you support?
EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP.
