The 20 inch cabin size
The 20 inch is the size most programs start with and the one buyers sample first. Cabin allowances differ by airline, so the outer dimensions of this aluminum carry on suitcase are confirmed against the carriers your program flies before a run is scheduled.
24 and 28 inch
The checked sizes run on the same tooling family, so a retail collection can be built as a matched set without a second mould. Buyers who list the carry on aluminum luggage first usually add the larger sizes on the repeat order.
Metal rather than polycarbonate
A metal shell behaves differently from a moulded plastic one: it resists flexing and holds its face flat, and it weighs more at the same size. That trade is usually the reason a buyer specifies metal. The panels are aluminium alloy, and both spellings, aluminium and aluminum, describe the same shell.
What we can change
This shell already has tooling, so a branded run starts without a mould charge. Everything below is specified per order.
Logo and artwork
Laser engraving, UV printing, silk screen or embossing. The method is chosen to suit the surface finish, and there is no tooling charge to brand an existing shell.
Surface finish
Brushing, sandblasting, anodizing, electrophoresis, spray coating, PVD and etching. A scratch- and fingerprint-resistant coat can be added on top.
Colour
Matched to your specification rather than limited to the stock list. Stock colours for this model are shown in the table above.
Lining and interior
EVA, nylon or PU lining, with compression straps, divider, zip pocket or a fitted insert built to your drawing.
Hardware
Lock, wheels, corner guards and trolley handle can all be changed. Casters are available detachable on request.
Packaging and size
Gift box, printed carton and carton marking to your artwork. Sizes outside the standard range are quoted against new tooling.

If the shell and finish stay as they are and only your mark goes on, a custom carry on luggage program starts at 50 pieces. Laser engraving, UV printing or silk screen, and a logo sample on this shell takes about 7 days.
Full program, from 300 pcs
Colour, surface finish, lining, hardware and packaging all specified by you on tooling that already exists. This is the usual route for a retail collection or a corporate gifting run, and it is customizable carry on luggage without a mould charge.
New shell, from 1,000 pcs
A shape that does not exist yet needs its own tooling. CAD takes about 7 days from your drawing and the tooling about 30 days, after which the shell runs as yours.

Hydraulic Stamping
The shell panels are pressed on a hydraulic line rather than roll-formed, which keeps the wall thickness even across the face and lets the corner radius stay tight without thinning the metal. Panels are then trimmed, drilled for hardware and anodised before assembly.

Is this aluminum carry on luggage accepted as cabin baggage?
The 20 inch is built to the cabin size most carriers work to, and a TSA combination lock is fitted as standard. Allowances still differ by airline, so before a run is scheduled we confirm the outer dimensions against the carriers your buyers actually fly.
How much does the aluminum carry on weigh?
3.6 kg at 20 inch in the standard wholesale build. A metal shell weighs more than a moulded plastic one of the same size, and adding a heavier lining or hardware moves the figure up.
Can the aluminum carry on suitcase be made in our own colour?
Yes. Colour is matched to your specification rather than limited to the stock list shown on this page, and the finish route is chosen to suit the colour you want.
What is the minimum for custom carry on luggage?
50 pieces if the only change is your logo on the existing shell and finish. 300 pieces for a full program on this tooling. 1,000 pieces if the shell itself is new and needs its own mould.
Do the 24 and 28 inch sizes use the same tooling?
They run in the same tooling family, so a matched set can be built without a second mould charge. The three sizes are quoted per size, and the MOQ is counted per model.
How does the anodised surface hold up?
Anodising hardens the surface and a scratch- and fingerprint-resistant coat can be specified on top. Aluminium still marks with use, and on a brushed or sandblasted finish those marks are part of how the case ages.
Can we see a sample before committing to the bulk order?
Yes. A logo sample on this shell takes about 7 days. Bulk production runs 30 to 45 days after the sample is approved.
Do you make a custom carry on bag in fabric or leather?
No. This line presses metal shells, so a custom carry on bag in a soft material is a different construction and not something we build. Leather is used as a front panel or trim on some metal models rather than as the body of the case.
